What is the 'Job Value Forecast' Report

A breakdown of what this report does and how it works.

This report provides visibility of upcoming scheduled work and its expected value over a selected period.

It is primarily used to forecast revenue based on scheduled jobs, rather than work that has already been completed or invoiced. This helps you plan ahead and understand your potential earnings.

Understanding Job Value.

Job Value represents the total value of a job at any given time.

It is calculated by adding together:

  • The value of all Tasks

  • The value of all Parts currently assigned to the job

This means the figure reflects the current expected value, based on what has been scheduled, rather than what has already been billed.

How the Report Works.

Date Selection

  • The report is generated using a selected From / To date range

  • A date range must be chosen before the report can be run

  • The maximum selectable range is 31 days

How Jobs Are Included.

Jobs are included in the report based on their scheduled start and end dates/times, not the date the job was created.

This ensures the report reflects when work is actually planned to take place, giving a more accurate view of upcoming activity and expected revenue.

Filters Available.

You can refine the report results using the following filters:

  • Group

  • Client

  • Site

  • Job Type

By default, all filters are set to All, meaning the report will include all applicable data unless you choose to narrow it down.

What’s Included in the Report.

  • Each row in the report represents a single job

  • Only jobs that fall within the selected scheduled date range will be included

Totals

  • Total Forecast: This is the sum of all Job Values within the report

  • It provides a clear snapshot of expected revenue for the selected time period

Things to Be Aware Of.

  • This report shows a forecast, not confirmed or actual revenue.

  • The values are based on the Tasks and Parts added to each job at the time the report is run.

  • Any changes made to a job, such as adding or removing tasks or parts, will directly affect the reported value.

  • Only scheduled work is included in the report
    Unscheduled jobs will not appear.
